What was the NDDA Pilot?

Montage of two images. The first is a man giving two thumbs up, the second is a woman raising her hand to say something and a badge with a star on it.

A pilot is a trial that helps us find out what:

  • works well
  • needs to be better.

The NDDA Pilot was testing how to:

A diverse people of people with disability. A document with 'data' on it and chain linking it to another document with 'data' on it.

  • link data about people with disability

A woman reading an iPad and a thought bubble with a question and answer in it.

  • study that data to answer questions

An answer with an arrow curving towards a group of people who are pointing at themselves.

  • share those answers with people with disability.

A group of people reading a document. Above them is a thought bubble with a group of people with disability in it.

The NDDA Pilot also helped us understand the outcomes for people with disability.

A calendar with April 2020 on it and an arrow curving towards a calendar with December 2021 on it.

The NDDA pilot ran from April 2020 to December 2021.

A folder with 'test case' on it and the number 5.

The NDDA pilot included 5 test cases.

A group of men reading a document and a document with data on it and a thumbs up.

A test case is when we:

  • work out the best way to link data
  • show why linked data is good.

We made the test cases to show how linked data can:

A diverse group of people with disability and a badge with a star on it.

  • measure outcomes for people with disability

An information icon with an arrow curving towards a woman supporting a man.

  • make information to share with people with disability and their carers.

The test cases also show how linked data can:

A group of people having a meeting together.

  • support new policies and research.

A woman showing a clipboard to another woman, a badge with a star on it.

  • make policies and services better.

A man holding a policy.

A policy is a plan for how we should do things.
